According to customs data, China imported 22,000 tons of carbon black in September 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 10.93% and a month-on-month decrease of 16.71%; from January to September 2024, China imported a total of 227,000 tons of carbon black, an increase of 30.18% over the same period last year, and imports increased by approximately 52,600 tons.

The top three regions for carbon black imports in September 2024 are: Russia, Belgium, and South Korea; accounting for 73%, 6%, and 6% of the total imports respectively.

According to customs data, China's carbon black exports in September 2024 were approximately 74,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.55%, and a decrease of 12.52% month-on-month. From January to September 2024, China's carbon black exports totaled 678,200 tons, an increase of 45.16% compared with the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 211,000 tons.image.png

Among them, the top three regions in carbon black exports in August 2024 are: Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, accounting for 30%, 21%, and 12% of the total exports respectively.

high temperature coal tar

According to customs data, China imported approximately 31,000 tons of high-temperature coal tar in September 2024, a year-on-year increase of 68.21% and a month-on-month increase of 27.90%; from January to September 2024, the cumulative import volume was approximately 143,000 tons, an increase of 100.03% compared with the same period last year. The import volume increased by 71,500 tons, of which the top three regions for high-temperature coal tar imports in September were Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan.
