According to customs data, China imported 27,400 tons of carbon black in June 2024, a year-on-year increase of 38.36% and a month-on-month increase of 88.92%; from January to June 2024, China imported a total of 150,000 tons of carbon black, an increase of 18.73% over the same period last year, and imports increased by approximately 23,700 tons.
The top three regions for carbon black imports in June 2024 are: Russia, Belgium, and South Korea; accounting for 73.4%, 7.3%, and 5.4% of the total imports respectively.
According to customs data, China's carbon black exports in June 2024 were approximately 72,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.64%, and an increase of 39% month-on-month. From January to June 2024, China's cumulative exports of carbon black were 436,600 tons, an increase of 31.86% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 105,500 tons.
Among them, the top three regions in carbon black exports in June 2024 are: Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, accounting for 25.3%, 23.5%, and 11.7% of the total exports respectively.

According to customs data, China imported approximately 6,700 tons of high-temperature coal tar in June 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 46.47% and a month-on-month decrease of 46.42%; from January to June 2024, the cumulative import volume was approximately 68,900 tons, a decrease of 3.69% compared with the same period last year. The import volume decreased by 2,600 tons, of which the top two regions for high-temperature coal tar imports in June were Malaysia and Vietnam.
