Carbon black output and operating rate in June 2024

Carbon black production:In June 2024, China's carbon black output was 461,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.28% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.32%; the cumulative carbon black output from January to June 2024 was 2.8742 million tons, an increase of 12.46% compared with the same period last year, and the output increased by approximately 318,500 tons.

Carbon black operating rate:In June, the operating rate of the carbon black market was 62.65%, down 6.07% month-on-month. The carbon black market was not good this month, and the phenomenon of companies reducing their burdens and stopping production for maintenance increased. The operating rate of carbon black companies dropped significantly this month compared with the previous month.
