Carbon black production:In May 2024, China's carbon black output was 486,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.59% and a month-on-month increase of 5.62%; the cumulative carbon black output from January to May 2024 was 2.4132 million tons, an increase of 14.17% compared with the same period last year, and the output increased by approximately 299,600 tons.

Carbon black operating rate:In May, the operating rate of the carbon black market was 66.71%, up 5.52% month-on-month in April. Most companies that had been suspended for early maintenance successfully resumed production this month, pushing the operating rate of carbon black companies to increase.
