According to customs data, China imported 31,800 tons of carbon black in April 2024, a year-on-year increase of 50.79% and a month-on-month increase of 11.9%; from January to April 2024, China imported a total of 108,600 tons of carbon black, an increase of 36.72% over the same period last year, and imports increased by approximately 29,000 tons.
The top three regions for carbon black imports in April 2024 are: Russia, South Korea, and Belgium; accounting for 78.6%, 3.9%, and 3.5% of the total imports respectively.

According to customs data, China's carbon black exports in April 2024 were approximately 57,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.67%, and a decrease of 31.87% from the previous month. From January to April 2024, China's cumulative exports of carbon black were 312,200 tons, an increase of 62.11% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 120,000 tons.
Among them, the top three regions in carbon black exports in April 2024 are: Vietnam, Thailand, and Poland, accounting for 27.9%, 14%, and 8.5% of the total exports respectively.

According to customs data, China imported approximately 12,700 tons of high-temperature coal tar in April 2024, a year-on-year increase of 88.09%, and a month-on-month increase of 0.86%. From January to April 2024, the cumulative import volume was approximately 49,500 tons, an increase of 5.05% compared with the same period last year. The import volume increased by 2,300 tons, of which the top two regions in terms of high-temperature coal tar imports in April were Indonesia and Vietnam.
