According to customs data, China imported 28,400 tons of carbon black in March 2024, a year-on-year increase of 47.15%, and a month-on-month increase of 26.84%; from January to March 2024, China imported a total of 76,800 tons of carbon black, an increase of 31.64% compared with the same period last year, and imports increased by approximately 18,500 tons.
The top three regions for carbon black imports in March 2024 are: Russia, Japan, and South Korea; accounting for 78%, 3.6%, and 3.4% of the total imports respectively.

According to customs data, China's carbon black exports in March 2024 were approximately 84,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 89.68%, and an increase of 19.67% month-on-month. From January to March 2024, China's carbon black exports totaled 255,000 tons, an increase of 78.3% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 111,800 tons.
Among them, the top three regions in carbon black exports in March 2024 are: Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, accounting for 25.4%, 24.1%, and 9.4% of the total exports respectively.

According to customs data, China imported approximately 12,500 tons of high-temperature coal tar in March 2024, a year-on-year increase of 0.11%, and a month-on-month increase of 0.04%; from January to March 2024, the cumulative import volume was approximately 36,900 tons, a decrease of 8.78% compared with the same period last year. The import volume decreased by 3,500 tons, of which the country importing high-temperature coal tar in March was Indonesia.
