Gasoline price index

On November 15, China's gasoline price index rose 5.85, or 0.07 percent, to 8719.94, while China's gasoline price index rose 9075.03, or 0.07 percent, to 9075.03. The 9-month gasoline index and the 9-month gasoline index both rose, and the price difference between the 9-month gasoline index and the 9-month gasoline index was 355.09.

 

Gasoline market analysis:

Today, some areas of gasoline wholesale in China continue to rise slightly, with gasoline prices in North China, South China and Central China rising by 50 yuan per ton, while the low-end gasoline prices in southwest China are reduced by 30-100 yuan per ton. The ex-factory price of georefining increased slightly, of which gasoline prices in Shandong, North China, Central China and East China increased by 20-60 yuan per ton, while gasoline prices in Northeast, Northwest and Southwest regions remained stable for the time being. At present, the trading atmosphere in China's gasoline market is OK, the international oil price guidelines are limited, the terminal demand is still relatively weak, and the market wait-and-see mood still exists, but some of them choose the opportunity to enter the market; refineries flexibly adjust their quotations, and preferential policies have been narrowed.

Future forecast

From the perspective of international crude oil, after OPEC raised its global crude oil demand growth forecast for this year, the International Energy Agency once again raised its crude oil demand growth forecast for 2023 and 2024. But the newly released API crude oil inventory data rose by 1.335 million barrels far more than expected, and there is still pressure on the global economy. Against the backdrop of weak demand in the Chinese market, there are few rigid demand purchases in large orders, and there are still expectations of a sharp reduction in the new round of retail price limit adjustment. If it is even more difficult to raise prices after that, the current monthly task of the main business can be superimposed. The refinery has slightly pushed up. Taken together, China's gasoline market is expected to rise slightly in the short term.

Since 24:00 on November 7, 2023, the prices of gasoline and diesel oil in China have been reduced by 140yuan and 135yuan per ton respectively. After the adjustment, the maximum retail prices of gasoline and diesel in all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and central cities are shown in the attached table. The next price adjustment is expected to be November 21.
