Gasoline price index

On September 22nd, China's gasoline price index fell 11.77, or 0.12%, to 9542.37, while China's gasoline price index fell 10.24, or 0.10%, to 9872.18. The 9-month gasoline index and the 9-month gasoline index were both downgraded, and the price difference between the 9-month gasoline index and the 9-month gasoline index was 329.81.

 

Gasoline market analysis:

Today, the wholesale prices of gasoline in China are stable, with prices in South China, Central China and Southwest China rising by 50-70 yuan per ton and in North China by 50-70 yuan. The rest of the area has been sorted out or the quotation remains unchanged. The ex-factory price of georefining has been reduced by a narrow range, of which the gasoline prices of Shandong, North China, Central China, East China and Northwest China have been reduced by 30-60 yuan per ton, while gasoline prices in Northeast China have been temporarily stable. At present, the turnover of China's gasoline market is light, the central replenishment in the middle and lower reaches is basically in place before the festival, and the market trading atmosphere is weakened, mainly with rigid demand. Refineries in areas with poor sales have a preferential deal to promote shipments.

Future forecast

From the perspective of international crude oil, international oil prices have fallen for three consecutive trading days, but Russia has announced a comprehensive ban on gasoline and diesel exports for the time being. Export restrictions have been imposed again after the announcement of the extension of the production reduction period, which may widen the supply gap in the global market, and there are still positive expectations for international oil prices. From the point of view of demand, pre-holiday stock is basically over, rigid demand is the main, demand has dropped to a certain extent. From the refinery point of view, the refinery at the end of the month or in order to catch up with the task does not rule out the possibility of profit delivery. Taken together, China's gasoline market is expected to decline slightly in the short term.

Since 24:00 on September 20, 2023, the prices of gasoline and diesel in China (the same below) will be increased by 385 yuan and 370 yuan per ton respectively. After the adjustment, the maximum retail prices of gasoline and diesel in all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and central cities are shown in the attached table. The next price adjustment is expected to be October 10th.
