[Soda ash] Soda ash import and export data for June 2024

According to customs data, in June 2024, China imported 75,700 tons of soda ash, a year-on-year increase of 266.67% and a month-on-month increase of 0.93%. From January to June 2024, the total imported soda ash was approximately 749,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 266%, and the import volume increased by approximately 544,500 tons.

In June, soda ash importing countries were: the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan, accounting for 83%, 10%, and 5% of the total imports respectively.

In June 2024, China exported 65,900 tons of soda ash, a year-on-year decrease of 59.55% and a month-on-month decrease of 10.81%; from January to June 2024, a total of 448,300 tons of soda ash were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 53%, and export volume decreased by approximately 510,700 tons.

Among them, the top three countries in soda ash exports in June were South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines, accounting for 16%, 13%, and 11% of the total exports respectively.
