Import and export data of titanium products from January to April 2023

According to customs data, in April 2023, China imported 683.75 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month decrease of 21%; in April, it exported 2,536.37 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month increase of 15%. From January to April 2023, China's cumulative imports of titanium materials were 2,920.66 tons, and its exports were 9,100.74 tons.

1-4 The top three products imported from titanium materials in the month were: titanium bars, rods, profiles and profiles accounted for the largest proportion, with a cumulative import volume of 885.05 tons, accounting for 30%; followed by titanium plates with a thickness of ≤0.8mm. The import volume of sheets, tapes and foils was 881.11 tons, accounting for 30%; the import volume of titanium plates, sheets and tapes with a thickness of>0.8mm was 490.78 tons, accounting for 17%.

1-4 The top three titanium products exported in the month are: titanium plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of>0.8mm accounted for the largest proportion, with a cumulative export volume of 3,238.66 tons, accounting for 36%; followed by titanium bars, rods, profiles and profiles The export volume was 2,765.21 tons, accounting for 30%; the export volume of titanium pipes was 1,084.29 tons, accounting for 12%.

Sponge titanium is the core raw material of titanium materials. Chemical industry and aerospace are the two main application areas of titanium materials. According to customs data, China's titanium exports will continue to grow in 2023, reaching nearly 9101 tons as of April. Compared with the same period last year, the supply of sponge titanium in China has increased steadily. However, the consumption capacity of the Chinese market is limited. The demand for titanium materials in the international market is considerable. Most companies have turned to the export market. The export volume of titanium products has different growth rates year-on-year in the same period last year.
