On May 16, it was reported that Fuyang Branch of the Hangzhou City Ecological Environment Bureau recently issued an announcement to propose approval opinions on the environmental assessment document of the "Proposed Implementation of Hangzhou Zhongce Qingquan Industrial Co., Ltd.'s 20,000-ton/year Efficient, Clean and Resource Utilization Project".
According to the announcement, Hangzhou Zhongce Qingquan Industrial Co., Ltd. plans to invest 49.4 million yuan to build this project, with an estimated construction period of 10 months. The project will build four 5000-ton/year thermal cracking production lines. It is understood that the main goal of the project is to crush and disassemble the recycled waste tires and transport the tire rubber to the factory for resource treatment.
The launch of this project will further promote the development and process innovation of sustainable carbon black. The oil produced by pyrolysis of waste tires can be used as raw oil for existing carbon black units in the plant, replacing about 10,000 tons of coal tar based oils every year. In addition, after further processing, the crude carbon black recovered from the pyrolysis of waste tires can be obtained into finished recycled carbon black products, which can be used for the production of rubber compounds in the factory. At the same time, on the premise of meeting relevant quality standards, these recycled carbon black products can also be mixed into furnace carbon black in a certain proportion and sold as sustainable commodities.
It is understood that Hangzhou Zhongce Qingquan Industrial Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd., and is committed to the comprehensive utilization of resources such as all-steel truck radial tires, carbon black manufacturing and exhaust gas power generation. The company's current annual production capacity is 5 million all-steel radial trucks, carbon black output is 90,000 tons, and carbon black tail gas power generation reaches 65 million kWh. In addition, the company also plans to build a project with an annual output of 2.5 million all-steel radial truck tires in September 2022, and has received environmental impact assessment approval.
Through Hangzhou Zhongce Qingquan Industrial Co., Ltd.'s efficient, clean and resource utilization project of waste tires, waste tires will be effectively treated and recycled, which will help improve environmental quality and promote sustainable development. This measure takes an important step for Hangzhou City in environmental protection and resource utilization, and provides lessons for other regions.
