US postpones final ruling on anti-dumping investigation on epoxy resin from China
The notice came from U.S. Commerce Department and U.S. International Trade Administration that the Department granted an extension on the date of final ruling in a certain anti-dumping investigation for the epoxy resins coming from China under LTFV until March 28, 2025, thus extending the implementation period of the provisional measures proposed from four months maximum to six months maximum.
The LTFV investigations commenced with the Department of Commerce on April 23, 2024, which go from October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
After a preliminary determination against China regarding a fair value claim in connection with their epoxy resins, the U.S. Department of Commerce released its decision on November 13, 2024.
On November 18, 2024, Huntsman Advanced Materials (Guangdong) Co. Ltd, the only major exporter and mandatory respondent in this case, formally submitted a request for an extension to the U.S. Department of Commerce, jointly requesting that the final ruling would be delayed for an additional period of up to 135 days until March 28, 2025, from the date of preliminary ruling announcement. Further granting of extension was undertaken to delay the interim measure for a period of up to six months.
