Just about 90 years ago, Pflaumer was born into the specialty chemicals business for coatings, inks, plastics, metal-working, fluids, lubricants, and related industries such as composites, electronics, and construction. The company makes polymers for high-performance coating applications, including epoxies, urethanes, polyureas, and polyaspartics.
Pflaumer is the leading supplier of polyaspartic amines in North America and its products are marketed in countries around the world. Over the course of the last seven years, on average, Pflaumer has been considered one of the fastest growing specialty chemicals manufacturers in the world.
During this year, the company has introduced more than 12 new products for high-performance coating applications. Pflaumer's technology includes curing agents for epoxies; specialty amines for polyaspartics and polyureas; aliphatic and aromatic polyisocyanates; polyols for urethanes; specially designed colorants for epoxies, urethanes, and polyaspartics; functional additives for improvement of flow, leveling, deaeration, dispersion, wetting, emulsification, and adhesion; reactive and non-reactive diluents to replace conventional solvents; catalysts; and moisture scavengers used for minimizing moisture contamination in both polyaspartic and urethane formulations.
