Hempel launches world's first Infinity silicone hull paint charger for yachts
Hempel A/S has introduced the world's first and only underwater performance charger specifically for Hempel's yacht silicone systems; simply applying it over the existing Hempel silicone coating at specified intervals during routine maintenance, Hempel's Infinity extends your hull coating's silicone performance for an entire season.
With Hempel's Infinity in their arsenal, would-be repainting would become superfluous work, therefore reducing overall costs and paint use which will translate into more time for sailing.
"Hempel's Infinity is our greatest innovation in the yachting sector since we launched Hempel's Silic One in 2012," states Thomas Olsen, Director of Yacht Marketing at Hempel A/S. "It has been developed with the time and money of boat owners in mind to enable them to maintain superior performance year in, and year out, in an increasingly sustainable way. I am delighted to launch this trailblazing innovation to market and eagerly anticipate the tremendous success and impact it will have on the marketplace."
Hempel's Infinity is easy to apply and does not require sanding, masking, or painting. Once the underwater area has been cleaned and dried, Hempel's Infinity is then ready to apply to the entire underwater surface area. After a waiting period for at least 24 hours activation, the product is rinsed off with fresh water and the vessel prepares for the next sailing season in a time frame about 50 percent faster than conventional antifouling application procedures.
To the U.S. consumer, Hempel provides an exclusive technology exclusive to complement the hydrogels in the Hempel silicone system for the yacht and leisure market. Hempel's Infinity will be available in a 2.4-liter canister for DIY & professional use in the EU, with North America following suit.
