Dainippon Printing develops transparent vapor deposition film using chemically recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
Dainippon Printing Co., Ltd. has developed "DNP transparent vapor deposition film IB-FILM" using recycled and chemically recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as raw material, which has the ability to block the passage of gases such as water vapor and oxygen. Dainippon Printing uses chemically recycled raw materials. Its cleanliness is superior to material recycling because almost no foreign matter can be removed through chemical decomposition and resynthesis. Dainippon Printing uses special evaporation/coating technology that achieves performance standards that achieve gas barrier values achieved by other products.
In addition, "DNP transparent vapor deposition film IB-FILM" is heat-resistant and suitable for processing the contents in a sterilization kettle (Retort) or an autoclave (Autoclave). Through the multi-layer film structure design, the barrier performance can still be maintained even after sterilization. The chemically recycled PET film base material contains more than 30% recycled PET resin, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions compared to PET films using virgin resin. "DNP transparent evaporation film IB-FILM" is expected to be suitable for food, industrial materials, medical or pharmaceutical fields.
