Chemical properties:
White crystalline powder, odorless, bitter and sour, sublimated by heating. The dried product is stable to air and light, and the aqueous solution is gradually oxidized and discolored when meeting the air, and the oxidation is accelerated as the pH value increases. Mp205-209ðC (decomposition), with maximum absorption (0.1mol/LHCl) at a wavelength of 290nmñ1nm. Easily soluble in water (1:4.5), the solution is acidic, slightly soluble in ethanol (1:90) and acetone, insoluble in ether and chloroform. Low toxicity, LD50 (rat, oral) 4000mg/kg.
