Appearance and Properties: White powder with a relative density of 4.0-4.6, white orthorhombic crystals.
Melting Point (°C): 158°C. Transforms into monoclinic crystals at 1149°C. Prone to caking when dry.

Mohs Hardness: 3-3.5
Solubility: Insoluble in water and acids. Solubility in water is only 0.0024g/100g water. Soluble in hot concentrated sulfuric acid. Insoluble in water, ethanol, and dilute acids. Cakes when dry. Industrial precipitated barium sulfate is non-toxic.
Product Applications:
Reinforcing filler for rubber, suitable for acid-resistant rubber products and general products.
Used as a surface coating agent, sizing agent, and weighting agent.
Applied in pigments, ceramics, enamels, batteries, paints, coatings, and more.
