US companies advocate launching a "double-reverse" investigation into float glass made in China and Malaysia

According to a reporter from China Building Materials Magazine learned from the official website of The United States International Trade Commission, on November 20, American companies VITRO Flat Glass and VITRO Meadville Flat Glass submitted applications to the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, advocating to initiate anti-dumping and countervailing investigations against Float Glass Products produced in China and Malaysia.

The companies involved in the case mentioned in the application form of the above-mentioned American companies include China Glass Holdings, Hubei Sanxia New Building Materials Co., Ltd., Shandong Jinjing Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Xinqibin Technology Co., Ltd., China Southern Glass Group Co., Ltd., Zhuzhou Qibin Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Jinjing Technology (Malaysia), Qibin Group (Malaysia), Xinyi Energy-saving Glass (Sichuan) Co., Ltd., etc.

The main U.S. customs tariff numbers for the products involved are 7005.10.8000, 7005.21.1010, 7005.21.1030, 7005.21.2000, 7005.29.1810, 7005.29.1850, 7005.29.2500, 7007.29.0000, 7008.00000, 7009.91.5010, 7009.91.5095、7009.92.5010、7006.00.4010、7006.00.4050、7007.19.0000。The anti-dumping investigation period is from April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024; the countervailing investigation period is from January to December 2023.
