Wdoodoo Hosts Textile Value Chain Innovation and Development Forum

On September 8, 2026, Wdoodoo held its Textile Value Chain Innovation and Development Forum at IBI’s Digital Economy Headquarters under the theme “Gathering at the Global Business Linkage Festiva to Discuss the Cotton Market.” Focusing on key issues across the cotton and textile value chains, the forum brought together upstream and downstream enterprises, industry experts, and trade service providers to assess market trends, strengthen connections between producers and buyers, and explore opportunities for industry innovation. The meeting was moderated by Li Guangdong, General Manager of Wdoodoo’s Cotton Textile Value Chain Business.

The forum aimed to examine trends in the cotton and textile markets, analyze fluctuations in raw material supply and demand, and address challenges in industrial transformation. By connecting businesses, experts, and trade service providers across the value chain, it sought to facilitate business matchmaking, identify opportunities for innovation, and help enterprises respond to market developments and manage operational risks. The event also aimed to strengthen industry collaboration through a platform for resource sharing and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Participants discussed global cotton supply and demand, the current state of China’s cotton industry, climate change, recent sharp fluctuations in cotton prices, market uncertainty, and key issues across production, demand, and distribution. Drawing on long-term observations and firsthand field research in their respective areas of expertise, speakers shared forward-looking industry perspectives and practical insights.
As an industrial internet platform under IBI specializing in sectors such as papermaking and packaging and smart textiles, Wdoodoo further clarified its priorities for upgrading services across the textile value chain through this forum. Going forward, the platform will organize additional thematic matchmaking events focused on fiber materials, smart weaving, the circular economy, and other specialized areas. It will progressively develop a comprehensive digital service system covering the entire textile value chain, extending the industrial internet’s role from information exchange to order-driven operations and coordinated smart manufacturing.
