Yangluo Port's import and export cargo volume leads the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River in the first half of the year.
Recently, reporters learned from the Hubei Provincial Department of Transportation that in the first half of this year, the import and export container volume at Wuhan Yangluo Port exceeded 300,000 for the first time, reaching 311,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%. The total import and export cargo volume reached 4.522 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%. Both indicators set historical records, ranking first among ports in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
Since the beginning of this year, Hubei Province has continuously improved its multimodal transport network, enhancing the facilitation level of water-to-rail and road-to-water multimodal transport, and guiding goods from surrounding provinces to transit through Hubei. Yangluo Port, leveraging its hub advantage in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, has introduced the "one-box-through" intermodal transport model, breaking the bottleneck for "Central China Manufacturing" to access overseas markets. In the first half of this year, Yangluo Port's export container volume reached 234,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 13%. Among them, new energy vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and energy storage cabinets, and photovoltaic modules have become key drivers for the rapid growth of exports.
Meanwhile, Yangluo Port has further deepened cooperation with countries and regions involved in the "Belt and Road" initiative, as well as emerging markets such as ASEAN and Central Asia. It has continuously expanded its shipping route network and transit business, ensuring the stable operation of direct shipping services and the coordinated development of multimodal transport, driving steady growth in the import and export container volume at Yangluo Port.
