Zhuhai Gaolan Port District Guoneng Bulk Cargo Terminal Project's loading and unloading system and foundation engineering passed completion acceptance.
On July 16, the unloading system and foundation engineering of the Guoneng Bulk Cargo Terminal Project at Gaolan Port Area of Zhuhai Port, constructed by CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., passed the completion acceptance, marking a critical step towards the project's official completion and commencement of operations.
As a key project in Guangdong Province and a core energy storage and transportation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guoneng Bulk Cargo Terminal Project at Gaolan Port Area of Zhuhai Port commenced construction in July 2024. After two years of construction, all tasks were completed in June 2026, passing the quality inspection and successfully undergoing completion acceptance in July 2026. The project includes the construction of one 100,000-ton unloading berth and two 5,000-ton loading berths, with an annual designed throughput capacity of 17.5 million tons. CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. undertook the construction of the unloading machines, loading machines, stacker-reclaimers, belt conveyors, transfer stations, and other electromechanical equipment and supporting facilities.

During construction, in response to challenges such as frequent high-intensity typhoons and overlapping production and construction activities in the port area, the project team strengthened their sense of responsibility, implemented precise measures, scientifically coordinated construction plans, and closely aligned with actual site conditions to continuously optimize and improve construction processes. Under the dual guarantees of strictly adhering to safety standards and ensuring engineering quality, all construction tasks were efficiently and successfully completed.
After the project is put into operation, it will significantly enhance the region's coal transfer and storage capacity, improve the energy storage and transportation system of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ensure coal supply for industrial, agricultural, and residential needs in Guangdong, Hunan, and Hubei, and strengthen the hardware support for the national emergency coal reserve base.
